Radnofsky, Bell and Van Os together in Lubbock
Saturday, May 7, 2005, marked a first, the first time in election cycle 2006 that all three (so far) statewide candidates were together for a campaign event. It happened at two events in Lubbock: the SD 28 Workshop and Rally organized by Mary Hatfield and a Lubbock County Democratic Party fundraiser cocktail party extravaganza hosted by Bob and Sue Weninger. Barbara Radnofsky is running for U.S. Senate, Chris Bell is exploring a run for governor of Texas and David Van Os is running for Texas Attorney General. Great speeches in both venues. On the subject of abortion, Radnofsky, a pro-choice woman, staked out territory around "target zero abortions" using health care and education to zero out abortions.
